The Guild

The Church of Scotland Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action. With around 23,000 members, the Guild is one of Scotland's largest voluntary organisations. Although women make up the builk of their membership, increasingly, men are becoming members and taking active roles at local and national levels. The Guild motto is taken from Acts 27:3 "Whose we are and whom we serve"

The second year of the three year programme ‘One Journey Many Roads’ is focussing on ‘Companions on the road’ and begins on Saturday 7 September with the live streaming, in the West, of the annual rally from Dundee. The day will run from 10.30 am to approximately 3.30 pm with a break for lunch. Bring your packed lunch and we will provide tea and coffee to complete your meal. Come for the whole day or just an hour or so, bring a friend or come alone - we look forward to welcoming you.

The session will continue with our monthly meetings (the second Monday of the month) on Monday 9 September at 2 pm – we hope to see you then.

Full syllabus details to follow.

Our main fund raiser, the afternoon tea, proved to be as popular as ever this year with the addition of ‘Ted’s Travels’.
