Inverurie West Church is making strides in becoming a more accessible building and community for individuals with disabilities, for everyone. Our Sanctuary is wheelchair accessible, as is our Chapel, Hall, and all other rooms, including the Acorn Centre. There is an accessible restroom on the ground floor, and several accessible (or disability) parking spaces on Church Lane behind the church, the building can be accessed from a level path along the side of the church to the glass porch. The doors in the glass porch at the front of the church are automatic and there is a large lift leading to the Sanctuary.
Assistance dogs are welcome anywhere in the building including the Acorn Centre and Sanctuary.
On Sunday mornings, large print service bulletins are always available. The floor of the Sanctuary is covered by a hearing loop - some hearing aids will need to be switched to the 'T' position to make use of this. For many other church events, large print materials are available (or available upon request). Please let us know if you have a question or concern about an accessibility issue that you do not see addressed here.
